What kind of tablet should i get?

Please don't just go and say iPad. I want one that I can get an app for free music, like gtunes in the android market, and one that will probably not freeze if you put enough apps on it. I have a Droid X and I would prefer a tablet that runs like it. I know there's the Galaxy Tab, but I dunno if I will like it for the long run. I also wouldn't really like to have to have a contract attached to a contract. I know its a long list, but I don't wanna go pay $500 for something I wont like.
