Am I the only blackberry owner?!

So this is the first post in the bb section? I'm assuming there aren't any active members owning bb's then!

Actually I was wondering how welcome I would be on a touch screen mobile site when I sit and qwerty keyboard my hours away on an ancient bb 8300

However, I will shamefully raise my hand and say that not only do I own such a phone, I also love it

I guess in a sense this is a learning experience for me since for some reason touch screen phones seem to hate me and do the opposite of what I want them to do, but I do like a challenge so while I might love my blackberry I'm sure I'll venture back into the touch screen world eventually.

nah, this site is for anyone touch or not, but i dont understand what the hype about blackberry phone is. its probaly that BB pin thing, every young person in london i know has a BB. i prefer the days when we had the 3310, touchscreen phones get irritating for me, for me the mobile tech industry is going to far, simple phones like the w810 i (my fav) do the job whith a few extra features.

Yeah I know what you mean. Personally I use them for emails but I find my battery life is shocking if I want to say browse the net (its gone in hardly no time at all) but if I'm just using like a regular phone the battery life stays pretty constant.

I also like the qwerty keyboard feature, I find normal phones so annoying now with say 3/4 letters on one button. I suppose you just get used to a phone and it defines how you see other handsets ...
